Accessibility statement
Last updated: October 5, 2026
Large Print Play exists to make games easier to see and use, so accessibility is central to everything we build.
Our goal
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA across the site and in the printed games.
What we do
- Large default text, high-contrast black on white, and printouts with heavy lines and big numbers.
- Every tool works with a keyboard, with a visible yellow-and-black focus outline. The bingo caller has single-key shortcuts.
- Buttons are large (at least 56 pixels tall) for easier tapping on tablets.
- Pages use real headings, labelled form controls and a “skip to main content” link for screen reader users. New bingo calls are announced to screen readers.
- Pages zoom to 200% and reflow on phones without losing content.
- We check pages with automated tools (axe and Lighthouse) and by hand.
Known limitations
- The printed word search and crossword grids are visual puzzles, so they are not fully usable with a screen reader. The word list and clues are readable text.
- Spoken bingo calls depend on the voices built into your device and browser.
- Very large word search grids print smaller letters; the tool shows the approximate print size so you can choose a smaller grid.
