About Large Print Play

Large Print Play makes simple, free, large-print games that anyone can print in a minute.

Why we built it

Activity coordinators and carers told us the same story: finding printable games that are actually readable for people with low vision is surprisingly hard. Most generators produce tiny numbers, thin lines and pages cluttered with menus and adverts when printed. We wanted tools that put the game first.

What you will find here

Our approach to accessibility

Pages use large base type, black text on white, strong keyboard focus outlines, and buttons that are at least 56 pixels tall. Everything can be used with a keyboard, and the caller has single-key shortcuts. We test on phones, tablets and desktop browsers. If something is hard for you to use, please tell us through the contact page.

How it works behind the scenes

The tools are written in plain HTML, CSS and JavaScript and run entirely in your browser. We do not run a database of puzzles or user accounts. That keeps the site fast, keeps your word lists private, and lets us offer it for free.

Free to use, supported by ads

The site is free. We may in future show unobtrusive advertising to cover hosting and development. Ads will never appear on the printed pages. See the privacy policy for what that means for your data.
